Are Lazy Susans Outdated?

Lazy Susans have been popular since the 1720s.

It's 2022, and so many new cabinetry trends have been on the rise in the past decade. For instance, cabinetry has been used for custom bars, wardrobe closets, and even custom bookshelves. Now we ask ourselves, does this mean that older cabinetry styles, like the Lazy Susan, are outdated?

We're guessing that won't happen anytime soon. This is because the Lazy Susan, although an older idea, is still highly functional. The rotating tops allow your storage to be organized for easy access. Without a Lazy Susan, your daily products would be somewhere cooped up in the corner of your storage unit. This means that Lazy Susans save us a ton of time and effort when we are busy in the kitchen.

It's also unlikely that they will go out of style because they are highly customizable. The cabinetry can be made with any color, style, or wood species to fit the feel of the home. So, although Lazy Susans are traditional, they can take on a modern appearance.
